I am sitting in the Vancouver Airport and Rianna is playing ….lots of emotions and so many memories…can’t believe we are planning a race …wonderful…the support…amazing…and the reason…. shocking …….
In the midst of all this emotion we are so pleased and excited to have the remarkable and always smiling Paul Cecconi, Chef and owner of Brodo Kitchen and Catering in Penticton, confirmed as our Race Chef! …his motto is Simply Fresh Food!! Paul will be bringing the BBQ to the park at the end of the race and in his true style it will be remarkable. ….for more on Brodo Kitchen, go to www.tastebrodo.com Thanks Paul …we are thrilled to have you and your Brodo team on board!
…and about those wonderful people at True Grains in Summerland. There couldn’t be a nicer group of bakers than those at True Grains where not only their breads are organic but their spirits are too. We are more than fortunate to have them in Summerland where I have seen them open there doors after closing time to provide product to a customer in need. True Grains will be joining us for the Grind to ensure that all the bread products and delectable cookies and snacks are healthy…thank you so much Todd Laidlaw and your team! www.truegrain.ca/index.php/hours-3/summerland-location
“Where the locals shop” is their tag line and it is so fitting… Nesters Summerland… when we first told our City friends that Summerland had a Nesters they hardly believed us…such a great quality store in a relatively small community. Well it is a perfect fit…and we are very grateful to have the Nesters team on board and you will be too as they will be nourishing your spirits and your bodies as finishers in the Grind. Thank you so much Leanne Seiben and your team at Nesters. www.nestersmarket.com/summerland
Trust us when we say that you will be well fed at this race and it is all part of your race registration! You know Chris wouldn’t want it any other way.
ps…..there is a substantiated rumor that Ice Cream Bars…may be served at the finish line 🙂
Thanks for following….more tomorrow.
[…] Welcome Brodo, True Grains and Nesters…this must be the food day!. […]
